Quote Unquote
One of the funniest quotes I've come across -
"Do you know why they call it "PMS"? Because "Mad Cow Disease" was taken." - Unknown

An Uncertain World
I cannot help but think if people should have children these days... to me the world is becoming ever more unfamiliar and hostile
Unrest in the muslim world has taken terrorism to a new level - it greatly troubles me to think about people who have no value for their lives (let alone for other's).
Hamas took power in a first real election in a decade... leaving I'm sure not just me but the whole world surprised. It is said that Hamas needs outsiders (namely Israel and US) for aid, and that it will ease its stance towards the road map for peace, but I believe that given its ideologies it would turn to the oil rich muslim nations for aid instead and continue its violent ways.
Then there is Iran - Iran has told the International Atomic Energy Agency that its inspectors will no longer be allowed to conduct short notice, wide-reaching inspection trips of nuclear facilities and that uranium enrichment work will resume, despite international condemnation. - Newsweek
US giving India help with its nuclear power programme without having it sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty is not going to bond well. Dont think the Iranians and the North Koreans are going to sit back and watch the whole saga unfold without acting out their motives.
Then amid all this there's the cartoon issue! I do value the power of freedom of speech and thank god every wakin day that I was not in a place where I could not freely express myself, BUT I also acknowledge on the other hand that sometimes provocative issues like these are best left alone than displayed in the enemy's face on the grounds that you can F***in say whatever you feel like! I call that STUPIDITY and a lack of respect and consideration for other's religion and culture. Ignorance might be a bliss but it's time the West woke up to smell the coffee - causing undue agitation among the fanaticals is unwise.
However, guess in this war of ideologies, one cannot not express their stance with action. That is why we have the Al-Qaeda - generation-after-generation - masterminding the fall of civilization.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of issues that our generation faces - what about pandemics? global warming? poverty? Guess I should cross out the children item on my list.
