Letter to India

Dear Sarkar,

A recent trip to India has left me dumbfounded. Everything about India in the media looks very impressive but in reality I was quite unimpressed. Alright maybe we're seeing more international brands, an expanding middle class, a stock market that's reaching new heights, a state-of-the-art commuter train in the capital, clubs that put nightclubs in the big apple to shame, a growing MTV watching budweiser drinking sexed up youth ...

Yes that shows Indians are prospering... .... BUT I was expecting bigger changes that would show that Yes India has transpired.

Sigh I can go on and on with my philosophical BS about India and its progress, but I'll just cut to the chase and name a few things that I think need to be done and I am certain you will agree:

1) I think the ancient Indra Gandhi Airport should be blasted (it hasnt changed one bit since it was erected and most of all the entire thing just has one filthy washroom for which you have to pay!)

2) Trash cans to be put up at every place imaginable!

3) Japanese investors to be brought in so there can be a decent train system (a major clean up of the tracks is needed!)

4) Government subsidy housing be developed for citizens at the lower rungs of the income ladder (rich are getting richer, and the poor are going nowhere) - provide a roof

5) Unemployed people be employed for govt "clean-up" services - they can catch the litter (corrupt) bugs and fine them a hefty amount (more income for the govt)

6) Tax system be simplified and people be encouraged to pay taxes (govt has to lead by example - show them the changes and they will come), imprisonment for dodgers!

7) Special team be set up for townplanning (the whole bloody place is chaotic)

8) For people who piss in public to be ordered to have their dicks removed and for people who spit to have them lick back

9) Roads... they speak for themselves

10) Advocate "Road courtesy" - it's (literally) a jungle out there!

India needs STRONG and COURAGEOUS leadership to carry out the above...
BUT nothin can happen as your whole frigging system is plagued by corruption and bureaucracy!

Just "Incredible India" slogan is not Enough!!!

Yours sincerely,
Rups
