A Look Ahead

It is almost a week into 2006 and I still havent thought of any resolutions for the new year. Not that I am perfect in anyway, it's just that I cannot come up with anything meaningful, and something that I would stick to. Guess gone are the days when I used to sit down and compile a long long list (days of bein young & naive) ...

1. Get in shape

101. Not buy more than 10 pairs of shoes

*Sigh* I just wanna be a better person, not that I really know what that means, but it's better than "gettin in shape" - when the same resolution comes at the top of your list year-after-year-after-year there's something very wrong!

Perhaps a more appropriate resolution would be to "avoid making real stupid mistakes" which I've made plenty in my lifetime and esp in 2005. That actually brings me to appreciate all the friends and family who've been there when I've been sucked into the quicksand of blunders.

MUM for being so annoying and yet SO sweet (wont forget the time you laughed at your own ridiculous "marriage" comment - "I know I'm going to die, so get married")

SIS n'laws for the wonderful cookin (u gals rock in the kitchen!)
Kidos for the kisses, the hugs, and the company (esp the lil one for havin me wake up to ya kisses (& drool) on weekend mornins)

Lammy for making my Tokyo trip so memorable (we have to do it again!) and doing such a wonderful job at managing my retirement funds
Inks for knowing the real me and knowing exactly what I mean (saves me so much time explainin myself) and Ekkee for doing me that HUGE favor (both of u are angels!)
T for ALWAYS bein there for me (u've always managed to handle my crises brilliantly) and believin in me!
And... all my other friends... wish I could thank u all individually... but it'll be neverending (just shows how much of a difference u all make in my life - *from the coffee with a personal touch (Vchen u breed life in me everyday), to the nails (May u're just GREAT!), to the gatherings (Cat u always remember me despite my busy schedule), to the after-work hang outs, to the occasional stock picks (Eson I would've made a killin, kickin myself now), to the surprise gifts (Andrew I dont really fancy flowers), to lookin out for me (Winnie u'll soon turn into my mother), to the sweet-silly SMSs...*)

Anyways... this posting will be as personal as it gets... dont expect too many of these!!
